So I'm walking down the street and I see this midget coming toward me on the sidewalk. I was smoking a cigarette and when he got to me he asked if he could bum one. I told him it would stunt his growth and as I was about to walk away he punched me in the dick.

When I woke up I was tied up in a basement of some house and I was surrounded by about 10 midgets. They were all giving me the stink eye and I knew that I may be in trouble. So I figured I’d try to get them on my side by telling them that I was also a midget. I told them that as a matter of fact I am in the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s tallest midget.

I don’t think they believed me because I felt a baby shoe hit me in the side of the head. I assume a foot was in it but I couldn’t really see from where it came. Then the pummeling started; wee hands making tiny fists and striking me about the head and shoulders.

I guess they were getting tired because after about ten minutes a bell rang and several of them shouted, “Nap time!” They all ran to these little mats on the floor with little pillows on them and almost immediately went to sleep.

After about 10 minutes I worked my hands free from their bindings and made my escape. I quietly went up the stairs and found myself in the kitchen. I quickly put everything I could find on the highest shelves I could reach and got the hell out of there.

I’m still licking my wounds.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

Last night was a very weird evening.

The problem is that I can’t talk about it…. God Damn it!

The truth is had a good time but if I say too much here it may offend someone and I don’t want to do that to this person.

It also sucks for you because I can’t really think about anything else at the moment and this is all you're going to get.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

I was checking my referrals and I came across Fusion Independent Records. I personally haven’t heard of them but I was wondering if anyone knew much about them. I assume we must know people in common because they are selling a compilation album called Dedication from the Sullen Waters of the Ohio.

The album has this on it:
1. MIRE - Enter the Cockfighter
2. MY OWN VICTIM - Together
3. GLASSPACK - Heebeegeebee's
4. ERCHINT - Head First
5. PURPLE JESUS - Next Return
6. BABYLON DANCE BAND - Comes Change
7. KINGHORSE - Crimson Hands
8. CHERUB SCOURGE - Can't Stand my Baby
9. FACTOR 9 - Not Much
10. FADING OUT - Sherman Minton Bridge
11. BUSH LEAGUE - Smut
12. DEAD OF DAWN - Walls of Clay
13. DEADBOLT - I Hatred

I know members in about half of these bands and I was surprised that I hadn’t heard about this before now. It looks like this and the Mire LP are the only albums they’re selling at the moment but I wish them good luck. Anything that promotes the band scene in Louisville I think is a good thing.

In a way I guess I’m kind of honored because on the links page for the site, I’m the only link that isn’t band related.

Speaking of albums, apparently Corey Feldman has gotten into music. Still Searching for Soul - Corey Feldman's Truth Movement
The world may never be the same.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

When I was in high school I read a big hunk of this series, Casca : The Eternal Mercenary. It's a series of books about the soldier who stabbed Jesus with a spear as he was dying on the cross. Essentially after accidently drinking a few drops of Jesus's blood he is cursed to walk the Earth until the second coming of Christ. Through out the series he goes through time as a soldier or adventurer. Part of the stories that stands out in my mind is that the character was covered in scars because of the many years of battles and adventures he's been through. It's a pretty good series of books but it looks like most of them are out of print.

The subject came up because Mike and I were talking about the movie Unbreakable. We both agree that this is a fine film.

We got on that subject because Jeremiah was telling us about this comic book character, whose only super power was invulerablity. He was just a normal guy that could not be harmed in any way.

We got on that subject because we're a bunch of geeks who do nothing but talk about computers and pop culture. (Video games, movies, books, comic books, music and to a lesser extent television.)

I, of course, include myself in this.

There was no point to this, I was just rambling.

Good night, Good Morning, whatever.

I'm having a bout of writer's block so here is an old story:

It was probably about 5 years ago. At one of the pool tables there was this young lesbian and a woman Marine playing pool. I later found out that the Marine was straight but her friend thought she was in denial. Anyway this old lesbian kept hitting on the Marine. The Marine wanted no part of it. Finally they got so fed up they decided to leave.

When the Marine and the young lesbian got out to the Marine's car they couldn't find the keys. The old lesbian followed them out and kept trying to help them find the keys and hit on the Marine. The Marine got so frustrated that she searched the old lesbian just to make sure she didn’t have the keys. Finally the Marine told the old lesbian that if she didn’t leave she would punch her. The old lesbian kept bothering the Marine until the Marine actually dotted her eye.

The old lesbian was still trying to help.

The Marine left with another friend to get her spare set of keys. This left the young lesbian and the old lesbian at the Mag.

You need to realize that at that point the only thing I know is that the Marine lost her keys.

So the young and old lesbian are in the bar and they start to argue loudly. I intervene and tell them that if they want to stay in the bar they need to leave each other alone. The young lesbian tells me that’s what she wants. She doesn’t want the old lesbian to look at her much less talk to her. Everyone seemed to agree to the terms.

One minute later the old lesbian starts in on the young one. I step in again and tell the old lesbian to get the fuck out. She asks why and I tell her. She then refused to leave. I tried to reason with her then I asked Danny to talk her out. Danny asks if she’s deaf and then tells her to get the fuck out or we’ll call the cops. She still refuses to leave. Danny calls the cops.

This little old lesbian was probably 5’2” and 140 pounds. We could have easily picked her up and tossed her out. Several of the female patrons of the bar offered to do it for us. But she wasn’t being violent and we felt that violence wasn’t going to solve our problem. It could potentially cause more problems.

So we’re waiting for the cops to arrive and I’m standing near the door and the old lesbian is sitting at the bar looking at me. (At least she had forgotten about the young lesbian.) After a short while she walks up to me and says, “Now would be a good time for you to leave.”

I said, “What?!”

“It would be a good time for you to leave, now.” was her reply.

I said, “I work here.”

She then stepped back and said, “1…2…3…” and started talking into the collar of her jacket. She sat back down and a cop showed up a few minutes later.

He took her to a payphone somewhere away from the Mag just to get rid of her for us.

…and they all lived happily ever after.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

I watched "9|11" last night on CBS.

Its a documentary that was made by these two guys who happened to be in the right place at the right time. They had a friend in the New York Fire Department who helped them arrange to do a documentary on a rookie fireman right out of the academy. The plan was to basically show a kid become a man. They picked their rookie fireman and arranged for him to be assigned to their friends company and then they followed him around on the job.

They hung around on his shift for about 5 months if I remember correctly waiting for him to work a big fire. In that time the only fire on his shift was a car fire that was pretty lame really.

Then September 11 arrived and he got his first real experience as a fire fighter. Of course no one in the department had any kind of experience for dealing with that day.

It was very good and it pissed me off again about the whole incident which is probably what it was supposed to do. I am glad that they avoided any mention of the war on terrorism. The show was about fire fighters and what they do for our community. I'm glad I sat down and watched it.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

"Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this instance by an horrible cunt... me!"
-Snatch

I need to find myself a nemesis. There are people out there I don't like and I know that there are people out there that don't like me but I really don't know of anyone that hates me enough and I hate them enough, for a nemesis relationship to occur. If I had a nemesis it may focus my life a little more.

If I had a nemesis I'm sure I would plan my spare time more effeciently, because I would have to balance my time between work, play and plotting against my nemesis.

Maybe it would be more of a Magneto/Professor X relationship where they are actually friends but they have polar opposite beliefs.

Yep, I'm going to have to put some thought into this.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.
