I went to see Waking Life today. Waking Life is about a little boy that has a dream that he can float but will drift away unless he holds on to something. Throughout his life the dream recurs, and after a strange accident his reality becomes that dreamworld. He encounters various characters who discuss science, philosophy and the elements of dreaming and waking. Alarmed, he wonders if he will ever wake up from his "life-dream."

The funny thing is that toward the beginning of the movie I fell asleep. I guess a few parts of the movie weren't that interesting. I did get into the movie more later on and I would have to say that it is pretty good. Now this movie is not for everyone. If you hate movies where people just basically talk and there is no nudity or violence, you will probably want to skip this one. If you are really into animation you may want to check it out. The movie was originally shot on video and then they made it into animation with computers later. Its pretty well done.

I find it pretty amusing that I fell asleep in a movie about dreams and dreaming and reality. So far everyone I mention this to didn't seem to agree.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

I had a good Thanksgiving and I hope al of you did also.

Apparently, everyone I know that went to their parents for Thanksgiving, got to take leftovers home, except Danny. Which he is incredibly bitter about. I got to take home pork loin, turkey and potatoes.

Speaking of going home for Thanksgiving. My mother got a computer a few weeks ago. Now its not like this is a porn site or anything, but I talk about things I don't really want my Mom to know about. There are also a few pictures here that I really don't want to explain. She is still learning the basics and doesn't really know what she's doing but she can surf and she can get and receive e-mail on her own, which is better than a lot of the customers that call in where I work. So when she wasn't really paying attention to what I was doing, I made a little adjustment that keeps her computer from going to www.mrquick.net. It doesn't effect her getting to any other webpage but if she tries to go to mine she will get "Page can not be displayed".

What I love about this is its a little trick that I guarantee 75% of the people I work with don't know about it either. I don't really want to go into the details of how I did it here, so you'll just have to try to do your own research or just ask me in an e-mail or in person.

I know it may sound silly to some but I don't think I'll ever get old enough where I don't care what my Mom thinks. Its not going to keep me from doing what I want. I just don't want her to know about it.

Sneaky.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

Happy Turkey Day!

I'm thankful Nikki is in town for the holiday with her man Henry. Its always so good to see her. I had to leave the bar a little early so I hope to see her again later in the weekend.

This may be the last time I mention Grand Theft Auto 3. I'm stuck on a mission and apparently it is the last mission of the game. Sort of. The game is very open ended. Most of the missions are part of the main story. There are also several missions that have nothing to do with the progress of the game. You do hits for low level gangsters, that sort of thing.

The reason I know this is because I used a cheat code to give me a tank and I smashed through most of the defenses of the Colombians and cleaning up the last three guys and shooting down the helicopter was no big deal. Now I have the game saved at the point before this last mission. I still plan on trying to do it without cheating. I have probably tried to 30 times. I didn't get any lasting satisfaction using the cheat code. Sure it was real fun to finally kill all of those bastards that have been kicking my ass for the last several days. But I'm getting no satisfaction about finishing the game. Its not finished until I can do that last mission without cheating.

I know a bunch of people who have been playing this game and most of them have used cheat codes at one point or another. Of course they all get stuck when its a mission that requires driving skill and they have no cheat codes to fall back on.

So that is my goal for this holiday weekend.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

Wow, Thanksgiving is already here. I haven't done shit to get ready for Christmas.

I have a feeling this may be a tough season. The last two years I had already started and was about half done except I was waiting for most of my gifts to be shipped to me.

Todd ran into some trouble in Nashville and he won't be in town until Saturday so Pimp Night has been postponed until then.

I have some work to do so....

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

Roy called me at about 2AM. I was at the Mag and he wanted to know if I was going to be there for a while and he wanted to know if anything was going on. It was a slow night at the Mag and even though I was having a decent time hanging out and talking with the few of my friends there, I was considering going home and playing some GTA3. So Roy decided to stay home because now that he lives in New Albany it really sucks to drive all of the way to the Mag if nothing is going on.

About 20 or 25 minutes later we had a little entertainment. There was this drunk guy that had grabbed a girl and was being generally obnoxious. He just grabbed here arm but it was still a bad idea. Danny decided it was a good time to cut him off. He could still stay since he had a few friends in the bar but he couldn't get another drink. He accepted it reluctantly at first. He later came back and I saw him talking to Danny. I didn't hear the conversation but it was obvious that he was trying to change Danny's mind. Then I heard this statement uttered forcefully from the drunk, "There's something left to discuss, Mother Fucker!"

It was amazing every regular in earshot stood up and Kent had the guy out of the bar so fast if you would have blinked you would have missed it. It was a sight to behold. No one was hurt, not even the drunk, and the guys friends wanted no part of the situation. The others were completely cool about the whole thing. It was nice to see someone get ejected. I hadn't been around to see one of those for a while.

So Roy, that was the only thing you missed and of course the post-ejection discussion.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

For those interested... Victoria's Secret 2001 Fashion Show.

Lately, I feel like I've been waiting for something to happen. Its kind of weird. I don't know what I'm waiting for. I feel like its going to be good but I don't know what it is. In a weird way it like waiting for Christmas, except I don't know when or where its going to happen.

In case your worrying that I'm becoming some weird paranoid... I want to remind you that I sense it is something good. Its not a feeling of dread... its not a feeling that forces are conspiring against me. Its just this nearly continuos vibe that something good is going to happen.

I hope the good thing isn't pleasant dreams because I almost never remember my dreams. Speaking of...

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

Its a little after 6AM and I just got back from watching the metor shower,

I must admit that I saw more shooting stars than I have ever seen in my life BUT I was expecting a little more. The build up was a little too big. I saw some pretty big ones but they made it seem like it would like a laser light show or something. We spent a good amount of time trying to drive somplace away from city lights and wasn't cover in fog.

The picture of the day is a picture I tried to take of the sky. You can see a couple of stars... weee.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.
