Ohio Blue Tip Strike Anywhere Matches.
They are so hard to find anymore. I used to be able to go to Winn Dixie and buy about 750 matches for under $3.00. Now its hard to find any brand of strike anywhere matches. Now they all have to be stuck on the box. I think I have a lead though...
I love Ohio Blue Tip Strike Anywhere Matches. I've always liked the smell and I remember seeing people in movies lighting the matches on their thumbs. I just thought that was the coolest thing I had ever seen.
There have been several times in my life where I carried these matches instead of a lighter. I would usually go back to the light when I tired of the callous on my thumb and the smell of the sulfur burns. Anyway, I was at the Mag one night years ago and this girl that I kind of knew came up to me and asked me for a light. In one motion I reached into my pocket, pulled out a match, lit the match with my thumb and light her cigarette.
She inhaled deeply, exhaled the smoke from her cigarette and said, "That was really cool."
Now even though I had light matches in this way before I don't believe I had ever done it when I really wanted to do so. So instead of being incredibly smooth I exclaimed, "Yeah, I know! That was the first time I got it lit on the first try!"
Someday I'll be smooth.

I am a sellout and a whore. Every Christmas a few of my friends ask me what I want. I always say nothing or say "I don't know."
Well this year is different. Here's my wish list.
It ranges from a $8.99 Spawn figure to a $1999.99 Olympus digital camera.
My real goal is that there is an independently wealthy woman out there who reads my webpage everyday and want to repay my years of devotion to this space and buy me expensive gifts. She can then be my Sugar Momma and I would be a "kept" man.
She'd probably put me up in some penthouse apartment with a squadron of servants to wait on me hand and foot. I would spend all day in the penthouse waiting for my Sugar Momma to come home. Some nights I'd send the staff home because I wanted to cook a dinner for her myself. I'd work all afternoon to cook the perfect meal. She was supposed to be home at 7PM but its almost 9PM and she's not here. I get mad because of all the wasted food and of course my wasted time. At about 12AM I start to worry that maybe she was in an accident. Maybe she's dead in a ditch somewhere. I call the police but the say a person has to be missing for 24 hours before a report can be made.
Then she strolls in about 3AM stinking of gin and she wants some of my sweet sweet ass. Well fuck that bitch!!! You think I'm going to give it up just because she's drunk and horny. I work and slave to cook her a good dinner and she couldn't even call me to let me know she would be late. I was worried sick. Wait a minute! Is that a man's cologne I smell!!! You fucking whore how could you do this to me. Where the fuck is my gun!! What do you mean it was just your friend Brad. Did you fuck him! Did you! That's it!
She would have driven me into a homicidal rage because she would complain about my massive cock being too much for her and I'd probably end up strangling her and throwing her from the balcony.
I'd spend the next 20 years in jail.
sigh...
Maybe I should think of another goal.

Its time for me start thinking about Christmas. The past two years I have completely avoided the malls. I started early and did almost everything online except when I went to an antique mall which is nothing like a normal shopping mall. Everything came to my house and a few things I had wrapped before they were sent to me.
Take my advice, avoid the mall and shop online. If your worried about shipping, some stores offer free shipping and besides at least you save on sales tax.
The tough part is making my list and checking it twice.
This week at work has been going by pretty fast so far. I'm still playing catch up from being off last week and November is a busy month because we are doing our end of the year work. Annual reviews and the like.
I'm also getting the opportunity to change my schedule for the better. I'm happy with my 3p-12a shift but my days off are Sun & Mon. I will soon have Sat & Sun off with the 3p-12a shift. One step closer to a normal persons schedule.

What rocket scientist decided to do this survey? What was the thought process? "Hmmmm... I wonder. If we cut off women's breasts this may keep them from getting breast cancer. Hmmmm... That idea is too farfetched to rely on speculation. We need to do a study."
I wonder if hysterectomies will eliminate unwanted pregnancy?

Monday was a good day.
I went and saw two movies. Monsters Inc. and The One. Monsters Inc. was great. It was funny and the animation was specatular. Some scenes were so well done that it was hard to believe that it wasn't real. Hard to believe if you forget that its a big hairy monster. The animation of Sully the big blue hairy monster is incredible. (Geek alert) Anyone who knows anything about computer animation, knows that hair is very difficult to get to look natural. I was amazed. It was flawless in my opinion.
I also saw The One. It was not so great. It was a decent martial arts, action picture but it didn't live up to my expectations. The story which I thought sounded kind of cool before I saw the film was sort of lame in presentation. One of the great things about Jet Li, is his skill and his speed. I know that they speed up the film a little but Jet Li is very fast. In this movie there are so many special effects that except for a few things it seems that anyone could have done it and it would look just as realistic.
My contacts are sticking to my eyelids....

So Aaron Richards was in town this weekend. Him and his new bride were having a reception here in town so they could celebrate with all of their friends and family. Its always great to have Aaron in town. We spent the evening playing Grand Theft Auto 3 over at Mark's most of last night. It was cool to be able to hang out.
I've been working with the Powertools for Windows XP, specifically the slideshow program and things aren't looking good. Its all because of you 56ker's out there. You have to download all of the thumbnails at the same time for it to work the way I want to do it. When you want to have over a hundred pictures in an archive that is quite a bandwidth hog for 56k. I may set them up to do a slide show but then you wouldn't have the thumbnails and you would have to wait for each full picture to load. This would be one at a time but you couldn't really jump ahead easily. So, I'm still working on it. Maybe I'll do smaller archives.... but that makes more work and it will take more time.
Ahhhh... the suffering I put myself through for my loyal fans.
