I was able to find a couple of episodes of Mr Show. It is or was one of the funniest shows HBO ever made.

I'm trying to do this post and watch the show at the same time and its not working.

So I'm giving you the short post for the night. I guess I've gotten to the point where I feel I have to post something or you might think I fell down in the shower or something.

SO there you go, here's your post. Are you happy now!!! I give and I give and what do I get in return?!

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

The weekend I was in Birmingham a lot of my friends got together and went shooting at Knob Creek. Here are the photos Danny took of the event.

Matt, Sammy, Cyrus and I went to P.T.'s to try out my new eyeballs.

First of all I want to say that the contacts worked marvelously. No matter how close or how far the dancer was from me, I could clearly see her breasts. Even when they were right in my face. Man, technology is great.

There is one other thing I need to talk about. On occasion, when inspired I’ll get a lap dance. I don’t get one every time I go, because I feel a little weird about it. Plus, like I’ve said on many occasions, I’m a little cheap and I can’t see spending the money for a lap dance.

Well, Matt and I had each spotted a girl and we both decided to get a lap dance. I just so happened that the two girls were friends and apparently they were both from St. Louis. I don’t know why India (I assume that was not her real name) felt the need to tell me this but it seemed to be a selling point for her when she asked me if I wanted a lap dance.

I don’t know what is allowed in St. Louis but Matt and I got lap dances like we have never gotten before. I really don’t want to go into too much detail because it was most likely illegal. In case your imagination starts getting away with you, I want to say that Matt and I remained fully clothed. There was no reaching down our pants and it wasn’t an actual hand job. But I must say that it wasn’t too far away from it. (UPDATE: 12:49PM: I was just thinking that I need to make sure you all knew that no orgasms were involved.)
Its a little embarrassing to say but just thinking about the lap dance is almost giving me a chubby.

I feel so dirty. :-)

Oh! and Sammy got as drunk as I've ever seen him.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

Monday, I got contact lenses. I hadn't mentioned it this space until now because I wanted to see how many people would notice.

I got quite a few, "Where's your glasses?" There was one guy at work who thought I shaved something off, apparently. He said that I looked all clean-shaved. I would consider taking off my glasses as "shaving" them off, but whatever turns your crank.

Speaking of that, Matt pointed out that I need to tryout my new eyeballs at P.T.'s. Anyone, who wears glasses and has gone to a strip bar knows what I'm talking about. At P.T.'s, many of the women who dance there, take your tip by placing the dollar in your mouth or on your nose and the grab the tip with their breasts. If you wear your glasses they get in the way and get smudged and depending on the girl, your glasses are in danger of being broken. If you know what I mean.

The other choice is to take off your glasses. The experience is pleasant but depending on how bad your eyesight is you don't get to see much of the girl until she is right there. So a great deal of the experience can be lost.

So sometime in the near future I need to "tryout my new eyeballs" as Matt said.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

I hate being late. This morning I overslept. Apparently, when I set my alarm, I forgot to turn it on.

Luckily, Matt was riding with me to work and he called me at 2:30. I had just enough time to throw on some clothes pick up Matt and get to work by 3PM. Tuesday is the worst day of the week for me to be late because we have a team lead meeting every Tuesday. It would be very obvious if I showed up late for work.

I got plenty of sleep last night at least.

Which gives me no excuse for being tired tonight. But I am.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

I just found out that someone I knew was in the WTC when it was hit by the first airplane. She worked on the 105th floor. She called her mother and told her that the building was on fire and that she didn't know if she could get out.

Her name turned up on an OK list but the family had still not heard from her as of Friday. I checked out the list she was on, it says this,
"Stacey Peak okay Missing - please remove (19757 Thu Sep 13 23:01:32 2001)"

Apparently, the list is only for people that are known to be alive.

This woman was two years ahead of me in school. Tell City is a small town. It has 8,800 people in it. The population hasn't changed much since I lived there. I had only 152 people in my graduating class. Most of the students knew each other. If not by name at least by sight. I knew who Stacey was, she was in the band and she was a candidate for the homecoming queen her senior year. I must admit I had to pull out my old yearbooks to help me "remember" that information.

We weren't friends. We didn't hangout. It not like we kept in touch with each other since we left Tell City. I just feel that somehow I'm a little closer to this tragedy than I was yesterday.

I'm finally going to go to bed.

Believe it or not I actually got up early today (Monday).

I ran the errands I needed to run and I had lunch with my friend Helene. I had some plans later in the evening that fell through but other than that it was a very good day.

I went to the Mag and I think this was the first night in a while that the entire evenings conversations didn't all surround the impending war. Don’t get me wrong, we talked about it at a few different points but the whole night wasn’t dedicated to the subject.

I’ve had trouble avoiding the subject here in this space. It’s been on my mind a lot.

My tattoo is healing slower than I would like. It seems that I’m having the famous “red reaction”. For some reason a lot of people have trouble with red tattoo ink. The area tends to scab more and takes longer to heal. Most tattoos take two weeks to heal completely but most of the tattoo is usually healed after one week.

All of the areas on my tattoo except for the red and a few small spots are completely healed. The healed areas are actually very soft because they have all of that fresh new skin.

I’m kind of tired and I need to hit the sack.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

I have ambitions to get up early tomorrow (Monday).

There have been so many nights when I went to bed after setting my alarm for an early wake up and said to myself, "Ok, you have to get up early and get a few things done." If I don't absolutely have to get up then I usually hit the snooze for a while or just turn off the alarm and sleep longer than normal.

But this time a really meant it. I'm getting up early and going to run a few errands before I have to be at a checkup with my doctor.

I will get up. Seriously. Come on, don't laugh. I'm just going to have one more cigarette and go to bed.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

Iran closes border with Afghanistan and I saw on the news that Pakistan has done the same thing now. Apparently, there are a large number of Afghans who really want to leave their country all of a sudden. It seems that word has gotten out that the United States want some payback and a number of the Afghans want no part of it.

Earlier, I got this mental image that I want to explain. If you haven't seen Robocop you might not get it. There is a scene in the movie where they test the ED-209 in a corporate conference room. They give one of the junior executives a gun and tell him to threaten ED-209 with it. As soon as the gun is pointed at the large military robot, it pulls out the large machine guns and tells the Exec to drop his weapon. The Exec does so but ED-209 tells the Exec that he now has 10 seconds to comply. The robot starts the countdown and the Exec is running around the room to try to find cover and every one is pushing him away because they don't want to be shot also. Finally, ED-209 finishes the countdown and blows the living shit out of the guy with a long spray of gunfire.

Now here was my mental image or metaphor... The United States would be ED-209, the other executives would be countries like Iran and Pakistan, and the junior exec that gets the bullets would be Afghanistan. It's like every country in the area is trying to distance themselves from Afghanistan as much as possible and with good reason. I don't think anyone has heard this kind of talk coming from the US since Pearl Harbor.

The early polls are pretty scary. I don't know the numbers but most people want us to act as soon as possible. Most people don't have a problem if civilians are accidentally killed. 91% of the peopled polled said that they thought this was worse than Pearl Harbor. The entire Senate voted to give Bush the money needed for an attack. Everyone in the house except 1 representative was in favor in the House. This has focused the country into one mindset. There has even been talk of resinding the Presidential order that forbids assassination of foreign leaders.

I almost feel sorry for the Afghanis. Almost.

Good NIght, Good Morning, whatever.
