Well I have made an addition that represents two things I haven't done for a long time. I've added a picture to the Twin Peaks section of the Photo Gallery. That's the first, second I covered the girls face with the face of a friend of mine. Which I did with Photoshop 6.0. I haven't done any Photoshop Fakes in a while. The magic is still there though.
It makes me want to do more work with Photoshop. I use Photoshop almost everyday to resize photos and put my tag in the corner of each picture. But that is just boring drudge work that I've almost completely automated. I have a couple of ideas I've been bouncing around in my head that I need to work on.
If anyone has any interesting ideas for something different. Something that may be subtle or something impossible, let me know. I like a challenge.
Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

The Picture of the Day is actually the series of pictures of the day. I don’t care how much you like alcohol, you should never drink to unconsciousness in a bar. Seriously, I have only drank to blackout stage once in my life.
It wasn’t a bad experience. But I was in my apartment when I did it. My roommates and I had a party and I had a fifth of ice, ice cold Jagermeister. For some reason no one at this party wanted any Jager. I drank almost the entire bottle. Finally, I talked this one guy into trying it and he ended up having 5 shots out of the bottle. The rest was all me and then I switched to screwdrivers.
I was told later that someone one had called for me and the conversation basically consisted of me telling the caller, “I’m drunk. I’m so drunk.” Later I was just sitting on the floor staring off into space and my roommate at the time said, “Gary, you better go to bed.”
I was told that I said, “Ok.” Got up, and went to my room. The last thing I remember was taking off my clothes and falling in bed.
The next morning, I woke up with a nice breeze blowing in the window next to my bed and I felt great. I looked over the edge of my bed and found a nice neat little pile of vomit. Not a speck on my sheets or pillows. Just a dinner plate size pile of vomit next to my bed.
I got up, cleaned up my mess, took a shower and all was right with the world.
Again, I need to point out the point of my story… I didn’t do this in a public place. I was at home. If I ever get that drunk in a bar feel free to pants me.
Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

Everytime I here about Macedonia on NPR. I think of…
Caldonia!
Caldonia!
Don't take your big head so hard?
Does that make me odd? I’m not talking the first time I heard a news story about Macedonia. Everytime I hear about the country Macedonia I sing to myself…
Caldonia!
Caldonia!
Don't take your big head so hard?
Sometimes I think I’m not your average bear.
By the way, I found cheat codes for Max Payne and I am finally past where I was when I reformatted my machine last week. I forgot to back up the saved game files.
Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

I’ve been doing this for over 3 years now all together. In that time I have never asked for any compensation nor really wanted any. I have not put up any popup ads or banner ads or any advertising at all.
The other day I discovered dotPhoto.com. This site has given me the opportunity to actually sell my photos and a portion of the money will go to me. I don’t expect to make much. I just hope to pay for my webspace. I should say that I get a SMALL portion of the money.
Right now I have 99 photos posted. The last 99 Pics of the Day. If there is an older picture you would like to get a print of, just let me know what the picture number is. (ex. P0007714.jpg) I’ll post it as soon as I can. In the future I plan to put up albums of different events. This week sometime I plan on posting all of the Sparks photos I took with Jeff at the photoshoot we did a few years ago. I will also be adding the new pictures of the day on a weekly basis.
Here’s how you do it. You click on the dotPhoto icon below. It will open the site. Just click on an album, (right now there is only one) and start browsing.
If you have any questions let me know.
Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

OK, let's try this again. Sometimes I do moronic things. The other day I thought I downloaded Windows XP from a friend. Instead I downloaded Office XP, which I didn't want.
I finally have Windows XP and I am about to install it. Its almost 4AM and I will let you know what happens.
Good Night for now.

I was listening to NPR the other night. There was some guy who was apparently a Buddist teacher or some sort of eastern belief.
He was saying that it is better to BE good than to do good deeds. This kind of goes into a discussion I've had with Sammy and a few other people. The idea that there is no such thing as a selfless act. The idea that people only do good deeds to make themselves feel good. "I'm such a good person because I helped that poor man."
The "teacher" used the example of a glass of water. The water itself is good. It is good but it doesn't do good. It just stays there until someone drinks the water and it quenches their thirst.
An example that supports this belief that I came up with is the killer, John Wayne Gacy. He used to dress up as a clown and do childrens parties. Most people would consider this a "good deed". In retrospect we know that his motives were extremely evil. He was doing good deeds for personal benefit.
Then again this could be a rationalization for not doing good.
The way I look at it and they way I feel I am is this... I behave in away that I feel is "right" or "good". I don't force myself on anyone and I try not to judge anyone. Now on the judging thing I still have room to improve. But I'm trying. I have had friends that thanked me for listening and not judging and not trying to force advice on them.
Well, at least I gave you somethng to think about to day. What is better? To BE good or to do good deeds.
Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

For those who don't read the BaldMafia site, Mark posted this reminder...
As most people know, there will be a benefit held in Shawn Bradley's honor on Sat. August 18th. It is being held to raise money for the T.C.B. (Takin' Care of Business) fund; a scholarship that will be awarded annually in Shawn's name. The whereabouts and whatnots are displayed on posters hanging at The Mag. Raffle chances are also being sold to pay for the benefit, and add to the fund. The prize is $2,000.00! Chances are twenty bucks each. It's a pretty good pay-off, and it's for a damn good cause. Anyone interested in purchasing a ticket, come see me at the bar. Holding out will make the baby Jesus cry.
SO help out some deserving student in Shawn's name. I heard a rumour that the recipents grades can't be too good. I don't know if this is true or not but I like the sound of it.
I'm just about to finish the computer overhaul and I still have a few things I want to do before i go to bed so that's all I can give... I CAN'T GIVE NO MORE!
Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.
