A fictional interlude...
Before I open my eyes I feel the pounding in my brain.
What the hell did I do last night?
I can feel the linoleum on my back and the way I feel I must have been there all night long. My eyes open and I sit up.
Why do I have a knife in my hand?
I checkout my surroundings and it looks like my kitchen except for one big difference. There are red splatters all over the room. Red smears on the sink, on the refrigerator, on the stove. Red footprints on the floor and one on the wall. I look down at my chest and see thick red stains all over my shirt. I feel around for wounds but I could find none.
What the hell did I do last night?!
Oh my God! I killed my wife!
Why would I kill my wife? I loved her!
I did hate the way she left her underwear on the bathroom floor.
She would sometimes chew on her toenails as she watched TV.
She also had this habit of reading over my shoulder, it could be the newspaper, a book, it didn’t matter.
But what I hated about the fucking cunt the most, was the way she slurped her coffee. It was like some drooling bulldog lapping water from a dish. GOD, I hated that. I’m glad I killed that bitch. I hope she’s burning in hell!
At that moment she walks in and says, “Morning… You really attacked that cherry pie last night. By the way, I’m not cleaning up this mess.”
I slowly get up off the floor, licking a cherry off of my forearm and she asks, “I’m making a pot of coffee… You want some?”
Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

I feel much better now... Thanks to everyone who was concerned. I feel a little weird about it because I always thought it was more of an old man disease. Apparently, though from different people I've talked to, its more common than I would have thought. According to what I've been reading 5% of all arthritis cases are actually gout. Enough about this...
I got a new toy yesterday. Its the Kodak DC4800 Zoom Digital Camera. Its a 3.1 Megapixel camera. It has quite a few new settings that make it more like an actual film camera. It does a pretty good job in low light situations. Outside of the bar with the streetlights, pictures come out great without the flash. Inside the bar, if I was going to take a picture of someone without the flash they would need to be near a window or a neon sign or something for the pic to come out decent.
The pictures are big enough that if I had them printed out on a very good printer, I could print them out at 8x10 and they would look as good as consumer level film camera.
To show you how big the pictures actually are down load the 2160x1440 full size version of the Pic of the Day. The picture is 606KB. The small version is only 23.6KB.
I don't plan on putting all of my new pictures up in the full size. My webspace would fill up pretty quick. But if I ever want a quality print of any of my new pictures I can get photo quality up to at least 8x10. I can't ask for more.
My old camera lasted me about 3.5 years and I took 9169 pictures with it. That would be about 382 rolls of 24 exp. film. Assuming film cost $5.00 a roll and developing is $10.00 a roll for 4x6 prints. These prices are lower than I found on the few websites I looked at. That's $5730.00 of film and developing. The camera was $650.00 when I first bought it. I bought a $50 card reader and a $75.00 memory card. I probably spent at the most $200.00 in rechargeable batteries and a recharging unit. That leaves me $4755 dollars up. Plus I can flip through them much easier than if I had 382 envelopes full of pictures.
I got a deal on the new camera and I sold my old one to a friend. Let's just say that I am a very happy man at the moment. A happy man with a slight limp but a happy man none the less.
Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

I had this tremendous pain in my ankle and part of my foot yesterday and today. It was bad enough I decided I better go to the doctor. The doctor told me that I had gout. I always thought that gout was that disease that old rich guys got in old movies. The doctor told me that drinking beer can cause it. I assured him that wasn't it. He told me he thinks it may have been caused by this high blood pressure medicine I've been taking for the last few years.
So, he gave me medicine for the gout and we are switching up my high blood pressure medicine. It actually still hurts like a bitch and I'm going to go lie down again.
Good Night.

There will be no post today in lieu of me whining.
I don't feel very well and I am going to bed.
Good Night.

Well the deadline for our Celebrity Dead Poll has come and gone. Danny should have all of the lists now and the only thing left to do is wait for the slaughter. In case anyone may be curious, here is my list:
1. Bob Hope 1903
2. Pope John Paul II 1920
3. Ronald Reagan 1911
4. The Queen Mother 1900
5. Boris Yeltsin 1931
6. Buddy Ebsen 1908
7. Eddie Albert 1906
8. Milton Berle 1908
9. Katharine Hepburn 1907
10. Fay Wray 1907
The year indicates when they were born. Many people tried to pick celebrities that have had health problems. Like who have cancer or AIDS. I decided to make up a list of the oldest people I could find. About half of my list are people who I thought were already dead. I was surprised that they were still alive. Did anybody know that Fay Wray was still alive?! I didn't until I came across her name. For those who don't know, Fay Wray was in the first King Kong movie. The old black and white one. She was the woman that Kong fell in love with. "It was Beauty that killed the beast."
My apologies if anyone from England reads my page, but The Queen Mother needs to die. She has been on this planet for over 100 years. That is more than enough time for anyone. I swear I though Buddy Ebsen was already dead.
Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

"To sleep! perchance to dream:--ay, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come"
-Shakespeare
Roy's Crawfish Boil was a great success. Most of the older faces were there plus a few new ones. There were a few more children running around and it was a beautiful day. Even at the hottest part of the day it was still pretty comfortable in the shade.
Later at the Mag Bar, the few that made it down, all seemed pretty sedate. The general concensus was that it was a really good day and we were just all wore out. Not that I stayed in the sun much but there is just something about it that drains all of the excess energy out of your body. I will probably sleep like a log.
Which is what I intend to do right now.
Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

Roy's 4th Annual Crawfish Boil is today.
Now to bitch at Roy for a second. I can't believe he didn't leave any extra flyers behind the bar. I gave away my flyer to Big Dave because he had no idea how to get there. I do have an idea on how to get there but once you get into those neighborhoods behind the malls, all of the houses look the same to me. I don't even know the house number. Luckily, I do have Roy's cellphone number so I won't be missing all of the great food and most of my friends.
I'm tired and I think I'm going to go crash. Tomorrow I should be posting the first of several pictures I'll be taking at Roy's Crawfish Boil.
Until then...
Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.
