With the invention of cordless phones and cellphones people can now take calls and talk to other people in situations that were never before possible. For example, yesterday I was just getting off from work and I felt nature calling. So instead of waiting until after a 25 minute drive back into town I decided to take care of it at work. This was not a simple tinkle. I had some cable to lay. So I went to the basement of the building which has the least traffic and more privacy.

So I'm doing my business and my cellphone starts to ring. I instinctively answered it and I conversed with this girl I know for a minute or so. She never would have known what was going on except for one thing. The toilets in my building have these censors that let them flush automatically. Sometimes they go off while your still sitting there and occasionally you get some splash up on the nuts.

Well, she heard the toilet flush and knew that I was in the bathroom. She commented on me being in the restroom but she didn't ask for any details. So we were finishing our conversation and the toilet flushed itself again. By this time I started to laugh and told her that I would see her at the bar later. She never showed up though... I wonder why?

I guess I should consider not answering my cellphone in the bathroom.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

I went and saw Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. I have to rate it in two ways. The movie as far as plot and storyline go is good, but not great. The storyline could easily be used in an anime' film. The Japanese tend to get more philosophical about technology vs nature. The movie has a sort of new age moral. As far as the story goes, I'd have to give it a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10.

The movie is a fucking amazing piece of computer animation. I have never seen anything close to it. This is going to sound like geek talk a little but... The way the characters moved and the way they looked were incredible. Hair is a very difficult thing to get right. They are close to perfection. The skin textures, there is a closeup of the main character's eye at one point and it looks completely real. You can even see the wrinkles around the eyes when she squints. The machinery and the way people walk and move are nearly flawless. The only thing they still need to really work on is the way the character's mouths move. It just doesn't look quite natural enough yet. The way their faces move just isn't expressive enough, yet. But anytime a character sat still for a moment I would have had trouble being able to tell if it was a real person or animation. I give the animation a 10 plus.

A friend loaned me a tape this evening that I watched also. It's called Nude Bowling Party. It's exactly what it sounds like. It's 4 women, who strip over the first 3 frames of bowling and then bowl the rest of the match naked except for bowling shoes. Most of them look like they have never bowled in their lives. This one girl named Bambi got all gutterballs the first 3 frames. Believe it or not, naked women bowling is not as much of a turn on as you might think. The better bowlers tend to forget about being naked and just bowl. This causes all kind of things to move in odd directions. I found myself fast forwarding to this one girl that was the best bowler. Toward the end of the match she got 2 strikes and then a spare. She single handily won it all for her and her shitty partner.

Naked women bowling... talk about your moment of Zen.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

This post is small and late because my internet service was screwed up last night. One second everythng was fine the next everything was so slow a 56k modem would have been better. I assume they were doing work on the system.

I'm going to go see Final Fantasy before I go to work today. I'll tell you about it later.

Later.

Here's a quick announcement for the Baldmafia folks. If you hadn't already noticed the Blogger service is down temporarily. This has happened before and its never been down for more than 24 hours that I remember. I did my post in this space manually. Don't worry it will be up again soon. In case your curious Blogger has a status page that will give you an update on what's going on.

While we're waiting for the Baldmafia's Blogger to get back up think about this... Come up with porn names that would be based on actual movies. For example:

"Indiana Bone and the Temple of Poon"
Matt has always wanted to make "Your Ass in the Park"
I think Joey came up with "Men in Black... Chicks"

Let your imagination go! If your part of the Baldmafia post it there, if not send me an email and I'll post it for you.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

I was talking about kids the other day and I want to tell my favorite story about Bill and his son Camber. Bill gets his son on Sundays and they usually go out and do something. One day they were out and Camber was playing and he got some dirt on his pants. He started to get all worried about it because his Mom had told him to make sure he didn't get his clothes dirty. Camber was upset that he got dirt on his pants and wanted clean them as soon as he could.

Bill and Camber were walking and Bill saw this mud puddle. Bill pushed Camber down into the puddle and was covered with mud. Camber started to cry and Bill told him to get up and that if his mother said anything to just tell her that he did it and to give him a call. Camber had a good time the rest of the day because he didn't have to worry about getting dirty.

I love this story on several levels. Bill wanted his son to have a good time. He didn't want him to have to worry about anything. So he did what he had to do and because he did, his son had a great time. Kids have enough pressure on them sometimes, they need to be able to blow off some steam. Especially when father and son don't get to see each other everyday. Another reason I love this story is the picture I get in my head of Bill pushing a little kid into a mud puddle. Now that is high comedy.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

So Laura had a party yesterday, apparently it was great. Many people showed up and there were plenty of woman around. At least this is what Laura told me. I already had plans and I was unable to attend. I suppose I missed the party of the century. I will probably be kicking myself for the next year.

Seriously though, she called me in the early evening and I did hear the sound of women's voices. So that was a step up at the very least. She had someone there playing music and it sounded like people may have been having a good time. I actually did want to go for a couple of reasons. First, if it was horrible I would have had something to talk about in this space. Another chapter on the subject of Laura's parties or afterhours. Second, if it was a really good time, well then I had a good time. I didn't feel that I could lose. Either I had a good time or I had another opportunity to make fun of Laura's parties.

I hope I get the chance to go to her next party.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

I am about to be an Uncle again. My brother Tom and his wife Amy are about to birth a baby. Her due date was yesterday and she appears to be on the verge of popping. I have a picture that Tom sent me of her showing off her belly and it is all baby.

Both of my younger brothers will be parents. I think I may be destined to be the weird Uncle that they see around Christmas time. I have never been envious of there families' though. I have never wanted to have kids. In some ways I think I have enough to do to take care of myself. I can't really imagine having the life of a helpless little baby in my hands. To be responsible for a person who can not do anything for themselves. The need you for every little thing. First, its just the physical needs, food, clothing shelter. Later, you have to raise them to be healthy and hopefully happy adults.

That is more than I feel I can handle at the moment.

I think I could handle it. I just don't want to have to do that right now and I don't know if I ever will. My niece, Mia always gives me a big hug when she sees me and she wants to make sure I give her a hug when I say goodbye. She is a little sweetheart and I believe she'll be quite the heartbreaker when she grows up. I really would love to talk to the first guy that takes her out on a date. Just give him a little talk, I wouldn't make him piss his pants or anything but I would like to put the fear of God into him.

I'm just the uncle and Godfather to Mia.

I kind of lost track of where I was going with this. Basically, I like that I can see my niece and my future niece or nephew but I don't have to take them home.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.
