I had a great time on my birthday. I drank 14 shots of Jameson Whiskey. Which isn't as much as I usually drink on this occasion but I still felt pretty drunk.
I got some cool loot, but I was really just glad most of my friends stopped by. Even if they couldn't stay long, I was glad that they came down for a while.
I had a good birthday and I didn't throw up or black out.
Cyrus was giving me some shit about not updating the Photoshop Fakes section for a while. He later realized he should put his money where his mouth is and since he does computer animation for a living he did the animation equivalent of my fakes.
He first took a video of him playing with his cat, poking at him with a pencil. He then took his hand and the pencil out of the video and he added a little animated character to fight with the cat. Here is the video. I thought it was pretty cool. I personally like the sound effects.
Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

Ok, here is the last mention of my birthday this year. At least before the event. If your a friend of mine I want you to be at the Mag Bar sometime after 12:30. I am supposed to get off from work at 12:00, but I am going to try to leave a little early. The very latest I will be is 12:30, though I'm pretty sure I'll be at the Mag by 12:00.
I expect the bar to be pretty busy, it has been most of my other birthdays. A good time will be had by all.
Again, I need to remind you that I almost never drink. Not that I can't handle my liquor. I may be stumbling but I will not pass out. So if you have never seen me intoxicated, this will be your only chance until next year.
All I want is to be surrounded by my friends.
See you tonight.
Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

Today's link of the day really disturbed me. There is no nudity so you could probably view it at work if you needed to. It has pictures of a woman, taken over a 10-year period, that shows how much drugs and prostitution have affected her. The change is so drastic that it’s almost nauseating. All of the pictures appear to be mug shots, so you don’t see how it has affected her body, but the pictures of her face are enough. It’s creepy as hell.
No real news right now, I am looking forward to Wednesday night.
I left the Mag early tonight. I did get down there pretty early. I grabbed a sandwich and went to the Mag at around 9:30PM. The problem with me doing that, is that I usually get kind of anxious and want to leave after about 2 hours. I did last until about 1:00AM.
It’s about 3:00AM and I’m thinking about running down and closing the bar. Part of the reason I usually leave the Mag around 3:00AM is that I like to get home and surf the web and update my site and still get to bed before 5:00 or so. Well as you can see I’m finishing this early.
Good Night, Good Morning, I’m running down to the bar.

I bought the Wild Bunch today and I'm up too late because I watched most of it after I got home from the Mag.
That is a fanatastic movie. Its one of the first movies that shows violence in an almost beautiful way. Its almost a ballet of gunfire and blood packs. I couldn't even begin to tell you how many people died in the movie. I was watching the documentary about the film and they said that for the big gun battle at the end of the movie, they had 600 mexican army uniforms. The documentary said that that wasn't enough, that they "blew up" about 1000 uniforms. They had a shop where they repaired the uniforms and sent them back out. The uniforms would come in with holes and covered in fake blood and they would put tape over the holes and paint over the blood stains. They'd set them out to dry and then send them back to be "blewn up" again.
That is the end of the movie and it is the biggest gun battle but there is lots of killing off and on throughout the entire film.
I know the idea of "beautiful violence" seems like an oxymoron. There is such a thing in fiction. I don't believe it could ever be considered beautiful in the real world. Another example of "beautiful violence" would be most of the films of John Woo. If you get a chance to see The Killer I think you will see what I mean.
Many of Clint Eastwood's westerns, film the gun battles in very dramatic ways. The final gun battle in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly has been copied in almost every western ever since. I think everyone should watch at least three of Clint Eastwood's westerns and the they should watch The Unforgiven.
The reason they need to watch at least three of his other westerns, is because The Unforgiven is not just a story about a gunfighter who comes out of retirement. The Unforgiven is the culmination of all of the Clint Eastwood westerns. In most of his westerns, Clint Eastwood's character was usually a "Terminator" on a horse. He may get beat up or wounded, but he usually took alot of men down in the process. When he shot his pistols he rarely missed. He was unbeatable.
In The Unforgiven his character was that man. Maybe not literally but he was the badass that could not be stopped. He was a cold-blooded killer. But that was behind him, he had found someone that made him want to leave that life behind and he became a farmer. Many years later, his wife had died, his farm is drying up and he needs money. That is where The Unforgiven basically gets started. After finishing The Unforgiven, Clint Eastwood said he would never make another western.
I can understand why, he finished the story.
Man, that was a long rambling post. I hope it made sense. I'm too tired to proof read.
Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

Derby is finally over.
I kind of find it amazing that every thing that has been going on these last two weeks has been building up to today and specifically this particular horse race which lasted a hair under two minutes.
THATS IT! Just 2 minutes! People have come from all over the country. Celebrities from all over the world have come to Louisville, KY for this race. I think it is really incredible.
Maybe part of the reason it is so important, is that it is only two minutes. You gather the best horses from around the country and more and more from the whole world. You bring them to a historic track, race them and of course wager on them. When you put even a small bet on a horse, you really want that horse to win, you almost become part of the race itself. In those two minutes everyone at the track and everyone watching the events on TV, are watching every inch of the race. Who wants to spend all day trying to watch the Indy 500? That race is hours and hours. No one want to sit a pay attention for that long. For the most part its not really very exciting, don't get me wrong it does have its moments. But there are very few people who watch the entire race from beginning to end.
I guess my point is that its a 127 year old tradition that people can be apart of and see it come to fruition, beginning to the end, in front of their eyes in 2 minutes.
Its late and I don't know if I said what I was trying to say but I hope at least some of it made sense. No, I'm not drunk, of course, but I am very tired.
Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.
