Every once in a while I get an idea for a scene in a movie that I think would be pretty cool. Its usually something that would go into a gangster movie in the Pulp Fiction, Snatch vein.

Here is my latest idea. I don't know the whole story but there are these two guys who are not the main characters. They are the most deadly assassins in the area. When someone wants to have a murder take place and they don't want to take a chance of anything going wrong. These are the two guys you hire.

Here is the twist though, one of the assassins has an obsession about the song Relax by Frankie Goes to Hollywood and the other assassin has an obsession with I'm Too Sexy by Right Said Fred.

There would be several scenes where the two are arguing about which song to listen too while they were in the car. A running joke through the movie would be that you would hear one or the other song playing whenever they were driving away or pulling up.

Now if only I could think up the rest of the story and all of the dialogue and I'd be set.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

I was talking to this girl who is a friend of mine. She is basically a good girl but she does drink a lot.

Last night she wasn't drinking. But I saw her drink 4 pint glasses of water in about an hour and a half. She made the comment that she was full and I said, "That's because your drinking water like it was whiskey."

The scary thing was that I meant what I said, I wasn't trying to be funny. Right after I said it, I realized it was sort of humorous because the common phrase of course is, "He was drinking whiskey like it was water." When I commented on this to Jeremiah he said, "Not with this crowd."

I have noticed, at least out of my friends, that when they come in the bar and don't drink for some reason that night, they usually go through the soft drinks as fast as they would cocktails and most of my friends CAN put down the cocktails.

I'm kind of tired so that's all you get from me tonight.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

In one week I'll be heading down to Birmingham to visit Nikki. There may be some interruptions to my site but I plan on getting online somewhere down there and trying to update everyday if possible. Even with a worst-case scenario I will probably only miss 2 days, at least for the written posts.

I use a service to do my daily log and all I need is internet access. But there is no need to worry about that for another week.

My friend Cherie and I went to my Mom's house for Easter. We had a pretty good time, but I every time I go home I realize how far out of touch I am with the comings and goings of my little hometown. They talk about these people I sort of remember but I can't put a face to the name.

I am such a creature of habit... which has its negatives and positives. One of the negatives is that I'm happy with my routine and I don't like to change it so I sometimes let opportunities go by. This is probably the main reason I don't go home to Tell City very often. Because going to Tell City is not part of my routine.

I think Cherie is as bad as I am. I know it actually. I think that is part of the reason we’ve been friends for so long. We have been eating lunch and going to a movie for every Sunday for nearly the last 3 years. If we don’t do our usual Sunday thing then we almost always end up doing whatever that has come up, together. Examples: Easter, Roy’s Crawfish Boil, or whatever else might come up.

I don’t know really where I’m going with this except that I even scheduled my trip to see Nikki around our Sunday outing.

I guess I like the rut I’m in.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

It seems like most of my friends think I'm a little crazy when it comes to my egg allergy theory. Several of them want me to do a test and wait a day or two and then eat a couple of eggs and find out if they make me sick.

So I now have a new theory... I think my friends are trying to kill me.

I don't know if I have an egg allergy or if for some reason I'm having trouble digesting them but I do know I don't want another day of illness to prove it. In my mind the decision is already made. After a while and I'm at a cookout or something and there are deviled eggs or some other delicious egg dish, then I might be tempted to test my theory. But right now I have no intention of blowing another day to feeling completely awful and worrying that I might shit my pants in my sleep.

The one day last week that I didn't go to the bar, because I was sick, it seemed like there was a bunch of stuff going on. I heard about two different after hours parties. I heard there was a fight at the Mag. Plus it sounds like a whole lot of my friends were down there Sunday night. I missed it all.

Enough whining for tonight.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

Joey Ramone died the other day.

I've talked about being from a small town and feeling like I've lived a sheltered life, musically speaking. But the Ramones was one of the bands that sneaked in. I don't remember a moment when I "discovered" the band. It was more like they were always there. Something that seemed part of my consciousness.

They only wrote one song, but it was a really good song. That’s an exaggeration of course, but there was a simplicity that made all of the songs very similar.

I only saw the Ramones live once.

The Ramones were opening for White Zombie and a friend of mine had free tickets to the show. So I went down to Louisville Gardens I believe. I was supposed to meet my friend there and get my ticket from him. He was late.

Everybody else went in and I was standing in the hallway waiting for my friend to show and then I heard the first song start. From the hallway I could actually see through into the auditorium and I could see the stage clearly. The sound wasn’t that good but then again the Ramones weren’t about great sound.

The first song ended and I heard Joey shout, “One, two, three, four!” And they kicked into the next song. Except for two pauses where he mumbled something to the crowd, that was the way the entire show went… Song, one, two, three, four! Song, one, two, three, four! Song…

My friend showed up just as the last song was finished. I would have preferred a closer view but I was actually pretty happy. Neither my friend nor I wanted to see White Zombie so we went down to the Mag.

It was a good day.

ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR!

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

In the last 3 months or so I have been sick on a semi-regular basis. That's the bad news...

The good news is that I think I have figured out what was causing it. First let me give you the symptoms. It starts out with these horrible, horrible belches that taste vaguely like rotten eggs. Today I started to actually feel a sort of burning sensation inside my stomach. The urge to expell anal vapors but the fear that gas isn't the only thing released.

I went to the restroom to answer nature's call and suddenly the rotten egg belches got so bad that I started to vomit into the sink next to me while liquid shit jetted out of my ass. Luckily I made it to the toilet and sink in time and there was very little cleanup involved. I actually felt better.

Then it started to happen again. But this time I was even better prepared. I had a small trash bag ready to use as a barf bag. Boy, am I glad I did. The only difference this time was that the cleanup was even easier and the phone was ringing while it was going on.

Over the last 3 months this has happened on probably 3 or 4 occasions. There was one time I was able to avoid vomiting.

I was thinking that I had some sort of stomach virus, the first 2 times. I believe the cause of all of this is eggs. I think I may have developed an allergy to eggs. The last time this happened I suspected but now I feel very sure.

It kind of sucks because I liked eggs. But I don't want to go through this again. So no more eggs for me. I have to go...

I hope you weren't about to eat breakfast.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

LOVE MISSILE F1-11
by Sique Sique Sputnick 1983

US bombs crusin' overhead
There goes my love rocket red
Shoot it up
Shoot it up
Blaster bomb bomb bomb ahead
Multi Millions still unfed
A mondo teeno givin' head
Shoot it up
Shoot it up
Hold Me shake me, I'm all shook up
Psycho Maniac, interbred, shoot it up Now shoot it up Shoot it up
Shoot it up
Shoot it up
Teenage crime now fashion's dead
Shoot it up
There goes my love rocket red
Shoot it up
Shoot it up
Shoot it up
Shoot it up
Shoot it up

They just don't write them like that anymore.

I realize that there aren't very many people who will know who this band is. But for the friends I know that remember them, this is some funny shit. This song was actually in the Ferris Bueller's Day Off soundtrack. Which is where I first heard the band and the only song I ever liked by Sique Sique Sputnick.

I don't remember if you remember my talk about my discovery of techno music, but this band was one of my early influences. Which is kind of sad when I think about it.

So the people that were on that spyplane that was involved in that Chinese incident have been reunited with their families. I was listening to BBC and I heard them discribe the scene. The people were coming off of the plane and they were greeted with cheers. "The wife of one serviceman ran out onto the tarmac, baby in hand, to embrace her husband to ecstatic cheers."

I hate to be a cynical asshole but the mental picture I got was that a photographer paid off some guard to keep everyone back but the cutest girl in the bunch and let her run out to her husband so that he could get a good photo op. I'm sure some very moving photo's will be released soon.

Oh yeah, Happy Easter.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.
