First of all I have added the obligatory webcam. I have three cameras but right now I'm only going to show you one. Since I'm usually only on my computer late at night. I give you... (drum roll) THE HAPPY DRINKING BIRD!

Tonight was a very surreal night at the Mag.

I had a whole list of things I could have talked about but the only thing I can think of right now is the end of my evening at the Mag. A good friend of mine came up to me and I could immediately tell she was way beyond drunk.

She came up to me and gave me a big hug and told me how great I was and how I have been so good to her. I've listened to her problems so many times and she wanted to thank me.

I really appreciated hearing this because I've known her for a long time and I care about her, but this is about the time it started getting weird.

There was this conversation which started between me and her and then involved these other two guys I had been talking to. To tell you the truth it didn't make a lot of sense. Basically it was some sort of weird bar flirt game of some kind. It was definately a break in the norm.

Here are a few quotes but I won't give the names of the persons:

"...I don't play by the rules...any rules..."

"Are you a freak and he isn't?"
"No."
"So he's a freak and your not?"
"No, I'm a freak."
"I'm a freak too."
"Oh yeah, what makes you a freak?"

"You wanna fight? I'll fight you."

I don't want to go into anymore detail, but it was very strange. This went on for at least 20 minutes. Things were said and not understood and were never really explained. Everything was said in vague generalities and innuendo.

I'll try to decipher what I think was going on and go to sleep.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

I went home from the bar early tonight and watched most of Angel's Dance. The movie was surprisingly good. Not a great movie but better than most B-movies you see at 3AM.

Here is the basics, Jim Belushi plays one of the mobs best assassins, Stevie "The Rose" Rossellini. He is asked to train this young mob guy to be an assassin. His name was Tony, played by some guy I never heard of.

Stevie has Tony pick a name out of the phone book and she will be his target. Target practice to prepare him for this important hit. Sheryl Lee, plays Angel Chaste, how would like to have a name like that?

Anyway, Tony fucks up a couple of times and Angel figures out that they are trying to kill her for some reason. The girl is sort of a freak anyway. She works the night shift at a funeral home and her father is in the loony bin. Angel decides to go to the library and do some research on assassins and it turns out she is a natural.

Here is where it starts to get real cheesy. Tony decides he is in love with Angel and he can’t kill her.

Stevie is having trouble finding the right time and place to shoot her because she is on the move trying to find the right time and place to shoot them.

Stevie and 4 other mob guys go to the funeral home and try to kill her. Tony doesn’t want to see her killed because he is in love. He calls her and warns her that they are coming.

There is this big gunfight and chase and she ends up killing all of them except Stevie, who gets the drop on her. He has the gun to her head and he tells her that she is fantastic. He had never seen anything like that. She is a natural and he hates that he has to kill her. Right before he pulls the trigger Tony shows up and shoots him in the arm.

Tony confesses his love to her and that he has never met a woman like her and that he wants a woman that is his true equal and he wants her to raise his family. He wants to grow old with her.

There is a momentary pause and Angel shoots him in the chest and then in the head like any good assassin should do.

Tell me what you think the moral of the story is.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

At the time I'm writing this its pushing on 5AM and my server is down.

I was going to call support for my page but the Valueweb.net page is also down so I don't have the phone number. My guess is that they are having technical difficulties.

Duh...

The good news is if you are reading this it means my site is back up.

If you checked it earlier in the day and couldn't get my page I would like to apologize but I also need to point out it wasn't my fault.

Good Night, Good Morning, and I hope I can post this to my page later today.

John Coltrane is a bad mutha!

I never listen to Jazz that much. Once in a while I would here something that I like. Some of the techno I listen to is heavily influnced by Jazz, DJ Logik for example. But I had never knowingly listen to John Coltrane before. You must forgive me, I'm from a small town in Indiana. Neither of my parents listened to much music, unless it was on the radio. When your in a small town usually the only choices you have are Top 40, which sucks, Classic Rock, which usually sucks, and country which mostly sucks.

So my musical taste has expand exponentially since I left Tell City, IN.

I remember hearing L.A. Style's, JAMES BROWN IS DEAD and I was blown away. I had never heard anything like it. I still like that song even though my tastes have gotten away from that flavor of techno. The few techno tunes that made it to Top 40 got my attention but some of it was crap. I remember Paul Hardcastle's, NINETEEN and M.A.R.S.'s, PUMP UP THE VOLUME. Back then there wasn't a record store I knew of that carried anything other than the Top 40 techno.

Years later, whenever I would come to Louisville I would go to Ear X-Tacy when it was next to the Great Escape on Bardstown Road. I'd find some good stuff there once in a while.

I got way off of the subject. Anyway, I've been listening to some John Coltrane tonight as I was updating this site and his flavor of Jazz agrees with me. I might have to go out and actually buy a CD. Someone I know had posted THE VERY BEST OF JOHN COLTRANE on this website I can't share. It may have just inspired my to go out and buy some.

That's all folks.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

I really love those days where I do absolutely nothing. It happens so rarely.

On Monday's I never make plans, almost never anyway. Usually though I have to run some sort of errand and I almost always end up at the Mag. Well, yesterday I didn't do a damn thing. The only time I left my house was to get a pack of cigarettes out of my car.

I stayed home, watched some movies and played ssX on my PS2. I still need to get a memory card so I can save my stats.

I recommend to everyone that they should take a day off before the month is over and do nothing. Order food in and just vegetate. Take a little "me" time.

I realize this was a dull post but the only problem with not doing anything in a day is that you don't really have a lot to talk about.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

I went to see Little Shop of Horrors at Actor's Theatre.

I really enjoyed it. I am a fan of the movie and I was worried that the stage production wouldn't be able to live up to the film. Overall, I was pretty impressed. In a movie you have a chance to do it over and over until you get it right. Of course, on stage you don't. They had some really strong voices in the cast.

When the show started and the chorus (Crystal, Chiffon and Ronette) started singing they just didn't seem to harmonize well. But after the opening number they seemed to click and were great. Everyone did a great job, but the guy who played the Sadistic Dentist. He just could not live down the job Steve Martin did in the movie. I think the guy who played Seymour was probably better than Rick Moranis. At the very least he was a better singer.

Later, I hooked up with a couple of friends of mine and we went to the Casino. I started off on the slots and got $21.50 ahead. I went to roulette and got $41.50 ahead. I went back to roulette and ended up $38.50 in the hole. That was the moment I decided to stop.

I was able to avoid the Mag last night.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

I need to get to bed and we had some people over so I didn't get much time to think about what I wanted to write.

I'll try to make it up to you tomorrow.

Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.
