I got an email from my brother Tom yesterday. He wanted to argue my comments about the election. I considered posting his email and then posting my reply. But I decided that I really don't want to talk about this for while. I know that when I go home for Christmas my brothers and my uncle will probably try to gang up on me and I'll be spending too much time talking about it then. I'll save it for later.
I was off of work Wednesday because today I have to work a double. From 8am to midnight. I used my time fairly constructively. I went out a did some Christmas shopping. I got out at probably the best time. Right between the snow and the freezing rain. I am almost completely finished. I just hope everything I ordered online gets here before the weekend. The Mag Bar is celebrating Christmas Saturday.
Well, its midnight and even though I normally don't go to sleep for at least another 4 hours. I'm heading to bed in the hopes of getting a good 6 hours of sleep before I have to get up.
Good Night.

It looks like Bush was able to steal the election.
Don't be surprised to hear that Judge Scalia is appointed Chief Justice of the Supreme Court soon after Bush is sworn in. Not that I'm saying that Bush had any influence over the mostly conservative Supreme Court. I'm sure Judge Scalia wouldn't be influenced by a possible Chief Justice position or by the fact the his son works for George Bush's law firm. I'm sure he was fair and impartial.
When I was growing up I always thought the Supreme Court was the only part of the government above corruption. The Justices are appointed for life and there position can not be threatened by the descisions they make. I believed that even though they may have made decisions I disagreed with, I believed that they tried to be fair. I have lost all faith in the Supreme Court over this. They didn't even rule against Gore. They again told the Florida Supreme court to rethink their decision. But by stopping the recount and stalling until hours before the deadline for announcing the slate of electors for the electoral college, they have helped Bush rob the people of the United States from seeing every vote counted.
We are going to have a president that had less votes than his opponent. More people in the US wanted Gore. But that's not going to happen.
My only consolation is that Bush will be seen as the fool he is and will be a laughing stock by the time the next elections roll by.
Good NIght, Good Morning, whatever.

I added a bunch of new music to MrQuick Radio. Mostly techno that I like. Check it out.
According to Accuweather, at 6PM the temperature was 58 deg F. At 1AM the temperature was 19 deg F. I like cold weather but even I have to say, DAMN! A temperature drop of nearly 40 degrees in 7 hours is enough to make your tallywacker shrink.
Speaking of tallywackers, I can't help but think about Four Rooms. I saw the movie again recently, which I believe I mentioned in an earlier post. Anyway the movie is funny and sick at the same time. Let me try to paint a picture for you... In the second "room", Ted the Bell Boy walks into a situation he was not prepared for. He brought ice to the wrong room and when he enters he finds a woman in her underwear tied up and gagged in the middle of the room and her husband, Sigfried, standing by the window with a BIG gun.
Sigfried is convinced that Ted the Bell Boy has been having an affair with his wife, Angela. Hilarity ensues.
At the end of the scene just when you think Ted is going to be able to walk out, Angela start to confess to the affair with Ted, just to piss off her husband. She then starts to talk about Ted's huge cock. Sigfried can't stand her talking about Ted's cock. Angela tells Ted to show, Sigfried, his cock.
Sigfried begs her to stop talking about Ted's cock and Sigfried lets loose a string of slang terms for penis. Some of them I had never heard off. For your reading pleasure today's post has that scene from the script for Four Rooms:
SIGFRIED
Stop talking about his cock, will you?!
ANGELA
It's hard to stop talking about something so huge. I could
go on and on about his cock, bone, nob, bishop, wang,
thang, hotrod. Hump mobile, Oscar, dong, dagger, banana,
cucumber, salami. Sausage, kielbasa, schlong, dink, tool,
Big Ben, Mister Happy, prick, disk, pecker, peter, pee-pee,
wee-wee, weiner, pisser, pistol, joint, hose, horn, middle-
leg, third-leg, meat, stick, joystick, dipstick.
Angela is on a roll. She fires the words at Sigfried, hitting him pointblank. He staggers. He pleads with her to stop, covering his ears. Ted watches the man crumble.
ANGELA
(continuing)
Junior, the little head, little guy, Rumple Foreskin, Tootsie
Roll. Snake, one-eyed monster, one-eyed wonder, shaft,
sword, meat whistle, skin flute, love muscle, Roto-Rooter,
instrument, banger, rammer, ramrod, cherrypicker, log,
pole.
Sigfried tries jamming the sock back in her mouth to stop the flow; she manages to give him a "fuck of a bite" in the process. Meanwhile, Ted figures this to be his moment to make a move and bolts for the door.
I hoped you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed it.
Good Night Good Morning, whatever.

My computer is running much faster now. I shed myself of the packrat mentality and reformated my harddrive and installed Windows from scratch.
I'm sure over the next several days I will be bitching about programs or files I lost but right now I know I have all of the important things. I backed up all of my pictures. I have all of the software that came with the computer. Dell made it a little easier by having a resource disk with almost all of the drivers I needed for reinstalling the hardware. I even remember to save the software keys for the few programs I actually purchased.
Everything is running better and faster.
Before the reformated I had about 15 gigs of crap on my computer. 7 gigs were probably mp3's, movies and pictures. I don't know what the rest of it was. At the moment I have 1.4 gigs of space in use and I have everything I need. Its nice starting with a clean slate. But I must admit my heart was pounding alittle when I typed, f-o-r-m-a-t and then pressed {enter}.
Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.

I like to think of myself as a champion of the second shift worker.
I personally have always preferred to work second shift. It suits my lifestyle. My internal clock guides me to second shift. Most of my friends are second shift people. We have all been victims of second shift prejudice. If you tell someone you got up at noon. They think your a lazy bum and you wasted the day. You get that condescending look.
Matt told me once that his Dad used to give him a hard time about him not getting up until noon. Matt finally asked his Father how many hours he was up before he went to work. Of course the answer was about 2 hours. So he understood a little better.
Every so often I get some extra training at work and I am grateful for that training but I have one problem. The training is almost always from 8AM to 5PM. I have to get up about 7 hours earlier than I normal do in order to get cleaned up and get to work on time.
Here is my wish... Just once I wish that a training class would start at 1AM. I would like all of the first shift people to have to try to go to bed several hours earlier than normal so that they can get some sleep before they have to get up at about 11PM and go to work during their prime sleeping time. They might understand why all of the second shift people look like shit.
Some of you may notice when I do my posts. Its in small writing at the bottom of each post. I rarely make the posts before 3AM. Usually, they are after 4AM. I usually go to bed between 4 and 5AM. That is why I usually end my post, "Good Night, Good Morning, whatever." I can't go to bed my normal time. If I do that Wednesday night I will only have 2-3 hours of sleep before I need to get up.
Aw well. I'm just bitching.
Good Night, Good Morning, whatever.
